Mayor Victor Fedeli joined Industry Canada/FedNor Minister Tony Clement at the site of the Waterfront Park, where the Minister presented a $1.5 million cheque for the final phase of the City's involvement in the waterfront redevelopment. This phase will primarily be for landscaping, including covering the acres of dirt with grass, trees, and landscaping.
Meeting the Team
Mayor Victor Fedeli and Deputy Mayor Peter Chirico met with Northumberland/Quinte West MP Rick Norlock and Industry Canada Minister Tony Clement. The Mayor and Deputy described the opportunity at the former NORAD underground site and have asked for their support in making the City's bid for an underground data centre.
Business Round Table
Mayor Victor Fedeli and Industry Canada Minister Tony Clement hosted a Business Roundtable, where several key employers and business groups came together to discuss the economic climate in North Bay and around the world. Several action items were realized and will be turned over to City staff,to help create better business opportunities.
Water Treatment Plant Opened
Mayor Victor Fedeli joined Industry Canada Minister Tony Clement and Nipissing MPP Monique Smith to cut the ribbon at the $45 million Water Treatment Plant. The Mayor thanked the Ministers for their funding, and thanked the neighbours for their patience. While the building took longer than expected, it came in on budget!
